Honest Clarity needed a brand identity that could stand confidently on its own while still feeling closely connected to Jason Cater's personal approach as a consultant. The name captured the heart of the business: honest insight, clear thinking and practical fundraising strategy for the charity sector.
Rather than building the brand around Jason's name, the identity gave the consultancy room to grow. It allowed the business to feel personal and experienced, while also creating a professional platform that could expand beyond one individual.
A device to represent the core values of the business.
Creating a clear visual idea
The light bulb became the central brand device because it immediately suggested clarity, insight and illumination. It reflected Jason's role in helping charity leaders see the bigger picture, understand what is holding them back and make clearer decisions about fundraising, leadership and organisational direction.
Inside the bulb, the connected nodes added a second layer of meaning. They suggested networks, relationships, and joined-up thinking. These words resonate with Jason's approach, which is not just about isolated fundraising tactics. It is about helping charities connect strategy, leadership, culture, people and investment so that fundraising can work properly.
A name with purpose
Honest Clarity works because it feels direct, human and trustworthy. It avoids overly corporate language and instead reflects the consultancy's values.
The word "Honest" gives the brand a sense of integrity and straight talking. The word "Clarity" points to the outcome Jason helps clients achieve. Together, they create a name that feels reassuring, practical and memorable.
A colour palette to reflect professionalism, warmth and confidence.
Colour and tone
We designed the colour palette to feel professional, warm and confident. The navy gives the brand authority and trust, while the orange brings energy, optimism and visibility. Supporting colours add flexibility across the website, printed materials, social graphics and presentation assets.
The result is a brand that feels suitable for senior charity leaders, trustees and CEOs, while still feeling approachable and positive.
Flexible brand assets
The identity was developed across a range of practical applications, including logo variations, colour treatments, graphic backgrounds and branded materials. These assets give Honest Clarity a consistent house style that can be used across the website, videos, presentations, social media and printed touchpoints.
The result
The Honest Clarity brand identity gives Jason Cater's consultancy a clear, professional and memorable presence. It communicates insight, trust and joined-up thinking, while giving the business a strong visual platform for future growth.
The final identity feels confident without being cold, strategic without being complicated, and personal without relying entirely on Jason's name.
