If you’d like to manage your Video & Web emails through Gmail, it’s easy to set up Gmail as an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) client.
This means you can write, send and reply to messages inside Gmail while your Video & Web email address remains the one your customers see. It gives you the best of both worlds: Gmail’s familiar interface, powered by your Video & Web mailbox in the background.
What you’ll need before you start
- SMTP Hostname: smtp.stackmail.com
- Your Video & Web email address: e.g. info@example.com
- Your mailbox password: If you’ve misplaced it, you can reset it quickly in your Video & Web control panel.
Step 1: Log into Gmail
- Open Gmail in your browser.
- Sign in with your Gmail account (or create one if you don’t already have it).
- Click the cog icon (⚙) in the top-right corner.
- Select See all settings from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Add your Video & Web email address
- In Gmail’s settings, go to the Accounts and Import tab.
- Find the Send mail as section and click Add another email address.
- A window will pop up. Type in your name and your Video & Web email address.
- Click Next.
Step 3: Enter SMTP settings
- For the SMTP Server, enter smtp.stackmail.com.
- Set the Port to 587.
- Enter your full Video & Web email address and your password.
- Choose the option Secured connection using SSL.
- Click Add Account.
Step 4: Confirm it’s really you
- Gmail will send a verification code to your Video & Web email.
- Log into your Stackmail mailbox (either webmail or your usual email app) and grab the code.
- Enter the code back in Gmail to complete the setup.
Step 5: Start sending with Gmail
You’re now ready to go. Whenever you compose a new message in Gmail, you’ll be able to pick your Video & Web email address in the From field.
That way, all your emails will still come from your Video & Web address, but you’ll get the speed and simplicity of Gmail to manage them.
All done
That’s it — you’ve successfully linked Gmail with your Video & Web email. It’s a small setup job that makes day-to-day email management much easier.
